Governor Kelly Celebrates Completion of 69Express Project in Overland Park

Governor Laura Kelly was joined by Representative Sharice Davids (KS-03), the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT), local leaders, and state and local officials today in Overland Park to cut a ceremonial ribbon marking the opening of Kansas’ first express lanes on the U.S. 69 Express corridor. The project was among the first selected for funding under the Eisenhower Legacy Transportation Program (IKE), a 10-year bipartisan initiative to modernize and expand Kansas’ transportation infrastructure. Weekend closure at U.S. 69/135th St. interchange starts Friday

All 135th Street lanes under U.S. 69 in Overland Park will be fully closed to traffic starting Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. and will reopen Sunday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. U.S. 69/135th Street interchange ramps will be fully closed Friday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. and will reopen Sunday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m., except for the westbound 135th Street to northbound U.S. 69 entrance ramp, which will remain open to traffic. Southbound U.S. 69 full closures scheduled overnight next week

In Overland Park, southbound U.S. 69 will be fully closed from I‑35 to 103rd Street from Monday, Nov. 10 through Friday, Nov. 14, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., nightly, conditions permitting. This closure also includes the southbound U.S. 69 entrance ramps from 87th Street and 95th Street. Click here for more information.

Weekend closures at 135th Street/U.S. 69 start tonight in Overland Park

All 135th Street lanes under U.S. 69 in Overland Park will be fully closed to traffic starting Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. and will reopen by Monday, Nov. 10 at 6 a.m. U.S. 69/135th Street interchange ramps will be fully closed Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m., except for the westbound 135th Street to northbound U.S. 69 entrance ramp, which will remain open to traffic. At 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, all U.S. 69/135th Street interchange ramps will reopen to right turns only and will be fully reopened to traffic by Monday, Nov. 10 at 6 a.m. Click here for more information.

167th Street at U.S. 69 in Overland Park will be closed over weekend

Eastbound and westbound 167th Street, between Metcalf Avenue and Antioch Road, and adjacent ramps, in Overland Park are fully closed to traffic from Thursday, Nov. 6 to Monday, Nov. 10 at 6 a.m. All northbound and southbound U.S. 69/167th Street entrance and exit ramps will remain closed during this period. Northbound U.S. 69 to College Blvd. Ramp will close May 18

In Overland Park, the ramp from northbound U.S. 69 to College Blvd. will be fully closed to traffic starting at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 18 for drainage structure installation and ramp reconstruction. This ramp is scheduled to reopen at 6 a.m. Friday, May 30. See closure alert for more info.

Eastbound/westbound I-435 segments will fully close this weekend for bridge demolition in Overland Park

Eastbound and westbound I‑435 from Quivira Road to Antioch Road and the westbound I‑435 to southbound U.S. 69 ramp will be fully closed to traffic beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, in Johnson County. Additionally, the ramp for westbound I‑435 to southbound U.S. 69 will be fully closed. The ramp and all lanes of I‑435 will reopen by 6 a.m. Monday, May 12. See release for more info.
