Asphalt milling taking place at 143rd Street
Concrete girders were set for the new flyover ramp at Blue Valley Parkway. Girder sets take large trucks and cranes, which may block roads. Many girders are set overnight for that reason.
New bridges at 127th Street have MSE walls at their base. MSE (mechanically-stabilized earth) retaining walls are designed to bring stability to natural slopes in construction projects.
These girders set near 127th Street will be part of the new configuration between 119th/Blue Valley Parkway and 135th Street.
Another view of the girders set near 127th Street as part of the new configuration of this interchange. Bridge and paving work have been significant on this project so far. More to come.
