Crews used massive cranes to set new concrete girders for the new southbound bridge over 119th Street. The work was completed at night to minimize traffic impacts.
The northbound bridge over College Blvd. has been under construction in November, and now has pavement in that area. In the center right of the photo some of the new pavement shown includes the future express lanes.
At Blue Valley Parkway, the construction team replaces the deteriorated end section of a concrete pipe. The new section will help keep storm water flowing, prevent erosion and protect water quality.
Traffic moves smoothly on the completely rebuilt section of 119th Street at the U.S. 69 interchange.
Structure crews place new segments of the reinforced concrete box culvert at Tomahawk Creek and 135th Street. The new structure will address structure conditions and improve flooding issues in the area.
